Caelie and her team did an amazing job for my wedding! I wish she did my hair and make-up every day. Originally I had no intention of getting my hair and make-up professionally done for my wedding, however, I’m so glad that I did thanks to my bridesmaids who convinced me that paying a little bit more was worth it.

Preview:
I had no idea what I wanted to look like on my wedding day beyond my dress. My hair is fine, layered and chin-length which is not the hair of bridal magazines. And when it came to make-up, I had even less of an idea.

Caelie was not deterred. She offered me a mini look book and had me mark with post-its pages I liked and pages that I didn’t like. Once we walked through the why of my markings she knew what I would like even if I still had no clue. We discussed my venue, dress, and reception timing and then she had an epiphany of how my hair could look. She asked me what I thought of wavy curls. I would LOVE them I said if only they would stay in my hair.

Flash-forward to a few hours later in the day and, as I predicted, my hair was fighting to be stick straight again. I simply took photos of my rapidly relaxing hair and sent them off to Caelie. Once again she was not deterred and promised she would have a solution in time for my wedding day.

Wedding Day:

My bridesmaids and I had a fun time getting made up. Caelie had us in a perfectly orchestrated timeline. She even had a back-up hairstyle for me since it was humid and pouring outside (not quite the weather that I planned!). Now I was not to be deterred since my hair doesn’t change with the weather.

I was so happy with the results. And yes, my curls were still intact well after the reception ended.

Briana did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and on the hair for my mother and my 3 bridesmaids.  I was impressed by the time and effort that was put into the preview appointment.  I showed her only a couple of pictures of what I wanted and she knew exactly what  I was thinking!  She duplicated my look exactly on the day of and did four other hairstyles and was happy and upbeat the entire time. This is common question and here is my response:

If you get waxed on a regular basis (once a month or at least every 6 to 8 weeks) and you have no sensitivity or break outs from it then yes, go ahead and get waxed the week before your wedding.

I always strongly recommend to Brides that they never do any thing NEW, which means if you are not a regular waxer then I would hold off in trying it till after the wedding or honey moon. I also always recommenced no new anything, so if you are not doing it regularly or have never done it before please don’t try it right before your wedding! This would include: spray tanning, facials or peels, new products, etc.
